The people my dd and I met in Glasgow, no matter where they were from, but especially the Scots, were nothing but friendly and kind. is this really how you all think of us? I, too, am shocked by the nasty comments about "Yanks", which (by the way) is an offensive and incorrectly used term. I am always surprised when people clump all Americans together as if we're all the same (and even more surprised when people clump Canadians and Americans together). America is one of the most diverse countries there are- a melting pot of races, religions, cultures, and ideologies. We vary from region to region, state to state, and even town to town.
