Subject: Thinking about All-Scots and need information please concerning preliminary competition (more inside)

Hi! We are considering All-Scots this year, but I'm not sure I understand the way the preliminary competition works. So they register as a preliminary, and then they dance in the regular group, but the prelims scores get pulled out? And the highest scores for half the number of prelims recall in preliminary championship? If they score high enough for the regular recall, do they go on to that? And if they do go on to the regular third round, do they forfeit any prize they would get in the preliminary championships? DD qualifies by all rules for preliminary, but is wondering if she should just enter regular championships.
Sorry for all the questions, obviously a first-timer. LOL Any other info you can give would be very helpful.

preliminary comps in all Scotland is mainly won by irish and American dancers may be 1 from Scotland (NT) -- mone year wasted in my book ., 20:15:16 07/03/19 Wed
- To answer your question, you don’t forfeit your prelim chance if you recall in the championship. Dancers eligible for prelim will have their scores from the first two rounds calculated and prelim result will be based on this. There is no third round for prelim. (NT) -- A child can recall in the championship and place in the prelim. Not a waste of money at all as it costs no extra to enter. Good luck to your dancer., 23:21:37 07/03/19 Wed
