Happy new year all -- I am considering taking the new year plunge -- so need specific responses please guys.

Firstly apologies for starting a new thread on maintenance fees but I think most folks will agree that this year the fee hike, combined with the availability of superb alternatives for the money (any old package deal, actually) mean that I'm gonna refuse to pay. Also its been a while since the last thread.

RESPONSES SOUGHT: Has any one been taken to court by CPO for non-payment of maintenance fees? Clive, sorry to single you out (!?) but you've been active in this debate before. My gut feel is that I'll get away with 'Walking Away' but how to handle?

Phone CPO and say I'm refusing to pay? Keep silent and let them guess? Or be as sly as them and invent a hard luck story that gets them waiting ... which buys me time..? Any thoughts from folks out there most welcome.
