i would be interested to hear from any other cpo owners who have since discovered that most of what they were told by the sales team has proven to be untrue. we bought in march 2002 and thought we had taken every precaution not to get suckered into a nightmare but uncovered the truth when we took a bonus holiday at cpo in november. the biggest whopper was that we had been led to believe we were buying floating time to start in 2003 and told that the week and accommodation allocated "was for the purposes of the certificate only" as portugese law required it. now we find that we are lumbered with week 47 and a studio in an unsuitable position (both of which we were given no choice about) After much upset we met the then director of owner services (harry smith) who worked out a package to compensate us for this and all the other lies. mr smith has now left the company and cpo are questioning what he had promised us. (how unusual!) Has anyone ever taken cpo to court? cpo is a beautiful resort with excellent facilities. why do the sales staff persist in lying and cheating to get sales. i now understand why our salesman kept pushing the rci exchange benefits and saying "you don't have to come back here" he didn't want us to find out what scoundrels they are!
