((Shalah))

A wonderful harvest comes of fertile ground as well, and if you cultivate the ground so richly, how can you not bear the fruit of such love!?

I agree, the things we "plant" are what we receive in the harvest. The point I was trying to drive home to my ex, in all the chaos surrounding my own son.

He stated to me, "You don't know anything, you're not here and no one spends more time with him." At first, I was insulted by that, and then I thought about it, and it is exactly the thoughts you've presented here.

I thought, yeah, you spend all that time with him doing what...just sitting idle, teaching him nothing about becoming a man, just sit there and let the world hand you things, because God forbid you take life into your own hands and be responsible and have some foresight. You are absolutely right...he is reaping what he sowed.

These were not the things I instilled (planted) in my son, and hopefully, my son through this mess, will recall those times and begin to thrive.

Very thought provoking read this morning, and much needed. Thank you! Your sons will benefit the bounty of such a planting season from such a wonderful and loving mom.

Big hugs and much love,
Tammy

Tammy, I am glad this touched a familiar spot for you. It's a hard thing to see others planting weeds in the gardens of our children's lives! I'm sorry you've had that to deal with, but I have faith in your gardening skills... just get in there and do the weeding! *huge hugs*
