He stands, invisible to all, in the shadows, his only solace. He was quiet all the time. He could pass through lands unnoticed, which was just as well for most likely he would be unwelcome anyways. Every part of him was black- his mane, his tail, his flank, his eyes...his heart...his soul. The darkness was his refuge. In the dark, no one would have to look at him. He was not handsome. He had been handsome when he was young, but now his body was leaner and disfigured with scars and deep gashes. Many scars were from hard fought battles. Most though, were from a recent disaster. Wolves attacking you were certainly not fun. Very painful, indeed. Claw and bite marks covered his legs and flank. Some parts of him were still bleeding. A long gash covered his face. He stayed in the shadows, silent but watching.
