 for all of the drummers that go to this message board, i found a cool thing you can do with your toms.....

when your tom heads start getting beat to shit and you need to change them, don't. instead, crank them up almost all the way up. do it to all of them, including your floor tom, and this will give you a wicked cool tom noise. it's also easier to do drum rolls with the heads cranked too. the noise you get isn't something you'd want to play a show with or anything, it's just something cool to do on your own time before you chuck the heads. try it sometime, if you have time.
