 I submitted "Mississippi Mud Bugs".
But I wonder if Louisiana folks might take offense since Breaux Bridge, LA is considered the world capitol of crawfish. And crawfish are more associated with LA than MS.
But I think it's at least an idea. I can envision a costume for the mascot, a ferocious logo, and it's certainly something people around here can relate to.
And I agree with the other poster who said they liked teams named after animals or creatures. Which leads me to wonder...what does the Carolina Sting Ray mascot wear? Anyone ever seen it?
