I'm wondering also why there has to be a gathering after EVERY game? Let's face it, if you were expected to show up after every game at a predestined location and have your happy face on, I think it would get old. Seems it might work out better if these get togethers would happen maybe once a week, maybe twice sometime. I am a big hockey fan but I'm in it for the game. In the past when the players were at different places (What a burger, Walmart, Sav-a-center, etc,) I took my kid a few times. I think it would be better to sometimes have them in the public promoting hockey (in hopes of getting new fans) than having them post game for the some of the same people time after time. (Boy, that comment will probably get me slammed!) There are still ways they can show appreciation to fans but they should not have to be responsible to do it after every game.
