Subject: So here it is in a nutshell

The cheating happened. It always did. You all knew it. It was openly talked about at Feis that "we'll never win here. They'll go with ****"
Then someone had the nerve to actually speak out and show messages publicly. But not in the name of fairness. But in an act of revenge and vindictiveness because they were outed from the circle.
And they only showed a chosen few, because you all know that more then the messages publicised happened.
Then a journalist got a hold of the story and seen a big bucks story she could make a name for herself with and ran with it.
So you all had to act shocked and appalled. You shouted from the rooftops about how disgusted you were, and demanded full punishment for those named.
Forums and groups were set up to out suspected teachers before any investigations could go ahead.
Instagram pages were set up to anonymously name calling and bully all in the name of searching for truth and justice.
Not one of you cared about the implications that the very public messages and information contained in them would have huge impacts on the children named. Despite them being the only innocents in it.
And the CLRG did as they were told. They attempted to hold those named accountable. They were advised that it wasn't financially sustainable. They were told the screenshots wouldn't hold up in court. They seen one person take them up and win based on the fact that the messages were sent before the rules regarding cheating were put in place.
But they carried on, because if they didn't, the villagers would come with their pitch forks and fire screaming unfairness.
Then 9 cases in, 9 cases lost, they knew what way this was going. They couldn't carry on. There's barely enough money to keep the organisation going, never mind carry on fighting a losing battle.
So they announce that they wouldn't be able to pursue anymore cases.
It comes to light that the cost of having done so is sinking the ship. Fees will have to be raised to help recoup costs, from teachers and dancers. Again, your all shocked. How could they have no money. Why should we have to pay extra to help.
And then the on this very forum, a statement that totally points to why this organisation and teachers fell into traps of asking for favours.
"What's the point if you can't qualify for world's, if it's maybe not going ahead"
The pushy parent's, constantly screaming for their child to qualify, or place better. The threat of transfers if your teachers don't provide what you consider to be the right results, enough classes, if you thought someone might of got more attention then your child.
Yes. The whole situation stinks. And everyone is guilty for the way this has gone. Parents, teachers, CLRG. The whole lot. You have all crumbled CLRG.
And all if you want to save it then, CLRG members will have to take a cut in their expense allowances, meetings will have to be held on zoom, majors will have to be thined out with less qualifiers to make worlds more sustainable, fees will have to raised, and maybe a registration fee for each dancer to join CLRG. And if you can't see that this is the only way forward, then you should go.
The only innocents are the children who would of been happy to just dance at any local feis, or small major, if that's what they'd have been taught to enjoy.
