As always, not every teacher or adjudicator is cheating…but not every parent is a saint either. Parents trying to pay „a fee“ to the adj. in order to get better places. Parents, who bully and leave „unsuccessful“ schools. Parents, who put too much pressure into the system.

In the end, we are involved in a danceform and is way harder to measure than running, weightlifting or track&field.

Decades ago, the figure dancing „industry“ suffered a similar situation. They cam up with more adjudicators for diversification, dropping top and bottom mark, each judge has an additional person, that is taking note. All movements are named and valued so a technical merit can be calculated. A second mark is used for the artistic aspects and ensures, that there is headroom for art.

Additionally, there might be the need for „regular business behavior“. InI a situation like this, people need to take responsibility and leave the management. There needs to be a compliance management in place. There need to be quality checks, internal audits etc. BUT while I do understand, that not all employees can interview and choose the CEO and board, there might be room enough to involve the registrants in voting…at least I can vote my government directly
