Subject: Playing the devils advocate here

Full disclosure I'm an adult dancer. I don't have kids dancing anymore. I just dance for fun. I don't do "majors", never have and never will.

However here's my question... for parents and senior dancers. You've been happy to spend more money on new dresses, new wigs, tanning, make up etc (not even factoring accommodation and travel because they're harder to control).

How about we accept paying more for entries but don't get new dresses. Wear second hand or last year's. Wear last year's wig. Do our own make up and tan. Don't pay for our RNHs etc

How would people feel about that? That way we're taking money away from the likes of GD but our kids still get to dance?

Why should the teachers and the org be the last to get paid and the straw that breaks the camels back when they ask for more?

Yes I'm pretending the whole cheating scandal didn't exist and I know that impacts a lot of people. Fair enough. But if it didn't, would these other changes be considered?
