He glanced at Des as she started to struggle, obviously she'd suddenly remembered his wound. He hushed her, squatting down to set a hand on her shoulder. "Once they finish with you, they can poke me to their hearts content." He ignored the rantings of the bloodied ringleader, pleased when Seth simply told the kid to shut up and keep still or he'd charge him with resisting arrest. He wasn't happy about the fact that his truck would be spending the night up here, but he didn't dare put Des behind the wheel, and he wasn't about to call anyone down here into this mess to get it.

So it would keep, and he'd just have to come get it in the morning. He could risk his own car without too much guilt, but if he left the Challenger, he'd worry over it all night, drawing his attention from Des. As the emt motioned him up, he helped Des up as well. "Go get in the Challenger. Soon as they stop the bleeding we'll head home" Once she'd closed herself into the car, he turned his back to the woman and pealed his shirt up to expose the inch long gash that went in about a knuckle deep if he had to guess. "Just pack some quick clot in there and slap a patch on it. I need to get her home." He glanced over his shoulder as the woman started to say she wanted to take him to the hospital

"I know your just doing your job, but its not happening. I'll sign the release, its not the first time i'v been stabbed" He nodded as she questioned the other scar on his back "Afghanistan" But didn't give her anything more. Likely that would be enough to get her to let him go. Sure enough, she did as he'd asked, cleaning up the worst of the blood before taping a square of gauze over the wound. He moved to grab the backpack from the back of the truck, locking the doors and moving back towards the Challenger. He paused to exchange a few words with the Sheriff before he opened the Challenger's door. He pulled a towel from the backpack, wrapping it around his middle to cover the blood stained shirt and protect the vehicles interior. With a silent hiss, he started the car up, pulling slowly out of the lot and down the hill.
