Hey buddy, how you doing? Well GAME 1, Aug. 28, 2009 is history.
Our team SPANKED the opposing team 27-0. First Qt.:7-0, Second Qt.: 14-0 and Halftime: 21-0, Third Qt.: no scoring and 4th Qt.: 27-0. This was a NON-LEAGUE GAME.
Guess who finally got his first touchdown of his high school? It's a person whom Kyle told all week long that if he got the football that he better get his little ass down field and score! It was me, JOEL! I caught a 64yd. pass from quarterback Sean in 4th quarter to end scoring. After I made the TD I went back to the sideline and said with a straight face to Kyle, "did I get my little ass down field fast enough into the end zone for you?" Kyle looked at me and then we both busted out laughing and hugged each other.
"Congratulations, buddy! I knew you could do it!" said Kyle.
I thought I had better do it as earlier i had a long pass thrown to me and it touched my finger tips before falling around. I don't think I miss judged it, just let it gat away from me. That earns me ("yikes" as Jason would say) one SWAT with the paddle on my bare butt! Ouch!
Sean, our quarterback, did a great job all evening and just earns one SWAT on bare butt for dropping the ball under pressure. He earns one SWAT for allowing too many players on the field when in play.
He scored ONE touchdown.

Luke earns one SWAT on bare butt for dropping a pass thrown to him.
Darrell earns one SWAT on bare butt for fumbling the ball while carrying and other team recovered. He did score TWO touchdowns.
Matt earns one SWAT on bare butt for over hiking the football to Sean.

Kyle earns two swats on bare butt for two missed tackles.

Steve it was a great feeling scoring my first TD. I was on cloud 9 and it really made me feel good that I could contribute and be part of the team. I never had a bunch of guys congratulate me before, except in baseball homeruns, when I got back to the sidelines. Coach was real happy for me, "Way to go Joel!"
I was so pumped up going into the game. I had to remind the guys, who sure seemed nervous, that we were going to have some fun and kick butts. 27-0 we sure did, huh? After the game we really had a celebration in the lockeroom, and YES I controled myself NOT to snap anybody's wet bare butt with a towel when we showered.
My redness is gone from my slightly sore butt from the paddling Kyle gave me, now I gotta get ONE SWAT yet that will start a little fire again. Geeze!
I feel sorry for Kyle for making two mistakes that will cause him to get TWO SWATS on bare butt, but things happened and his athletic butt can take it. Question is, who gets to give him the swats?
We'll meet and settle up giving the swats after we all help with YMCA CAMP Youth Football teams today, this afternoon, and will be able to do it without nobody knowing. We're using Kyle's old paddle with the holes drilled in it. OUCH! I met Kyle didn't think that old paddle would see action again after it was retired last year, came out to paddle me and him, and now football team members who have agreed to.
Got to get out butts ready for next Friday's game that will be an away NON-LEAGUE game. The team is suppose to be really good and to be a contender in their league to probably win league championship. But, I look at it this way, any team if they play together can beat any team on a given day. One thing that might make me eat my words is, I don't know how BIG their guys are on defense team, besides offense.
Well, Kyle is telling me to shut-up so he can talk to you. So here's Mr. Football Defense Man...Kyle!
