Hey Kyle, could it be that Joel broke up with his gf last spring after she sneaked in during coach's locker room paddling & feels out of place in Homecoming Court? Is Joel back into social circle & dating again or still on sidelines after breakup?

You said in another blog that you've been like a "big bro" to Joel being a few months older & growing up w/o siblings so guess my advice would be, sit your "little bro" down & make him square up to his reasons for wanting to back-out. He may just need brotherly support & a brotherly talking to. I've had those with Dave & both came away feeling better. Kick his butt only as a last resort cause maybe right now it's his back that needs an atta boy pat.
