Let me try to clear things up. All of us agree that Joel should have gotten a spanking way back when that window was broken. Kyle's dad warned Joel and Kyle several times not to play baseball so close to the house. Kyle got his butt blistered while Joel was forced to watch. Joel's parents didn't believe in spanking at the time so Joel wasn't spanked by his parents and it would not have been appropriate for Kyle's dad to spank Joel without Joel's parents' permission.
>
Ever since that day, Kyle's dad has been giving Joel dirty looks and making comments about Joel not getting spanked when he deserved it all the years growing up. I also tend to believe that this may have been behind Kyle's recent attempt to get Joel paddled at school one last time before graduation.
>
Joel should NOT have to continue to endure those comments and looks. The truth of the matter is that something should have been done a long time ago. The fact of the matter is that it isn't going to stop unless Joel does something about it. >
Yes, the possibility exists that Kyle's dad might want to tan up Joel's butt like he wanted to back on that day the window got broken. However, that is a risk Joel has to take if he wants those comments and looks to stop. I stand by my advice to Joel and I am glad Rick backed me up on this.
