Hey Bill & STeve...
I wanted to mention, forgot to, why SWELL IT IS that your trying to help Joel out in this situation.
That's part of what this Form is for and I'm so damn proud of you Steve to have it for everyone!
I'm thinking too, and don't you two go blaming yourself alot for this mess happening... BUT...maybe everyone of us, you guys and ME and Cody and Luke should have HELPED prepare Joel before he was sent to confront/talk with Kyle's dad and Kyle about the long ago broken window issue.
Other words...I think ALL of US forgot to follow Rule #1 in sports...GOTTA HAVE A GAME PLAN!..before sending Joel in without a GOOD PLAY to succeed.
We can still come out of this yet for Joel, and make sure it doesn't happen again to him or another one of us in the future!
Joel hasn't see alot of the latest threads I believe, especially now realizing we all should have prepared him or helped him before, we told him to go confront Kyle's dad.
I tell you Joel had GUTS to try that day!
Little Brother, Joel will bounce back! He might be "down" and "moody" for the moment; but we have baseball practice later today and I'll try to get a smile on his face!
Just hope Kyle doesn't start with the "crude remarks" etc. like he's tried lately to get Joel "going"! If he does, Myself, Cody and Luke will help tell him off!
RICK...BIG BROTHER....I know your out there, and probably have been busy helping Dave get ready in a few weeks for his wedding and the two of you settling in at your folks' for a short stay...but if you've seen what happened to Joel, PLEASE DON'T PUT BLAME ON YOURSELF for what has happened to Joel getting the paddling. It just happened!
Right now, Joel needs to hear from you in some way so he doesn't think your ashamed of him for him thinking HE MADE A MISTAKE in confronting Kyle's dad.
IT WASN'T YOUR FAULT that things happened as it did, but Joel thinks you and Dave probably don't want him for a Little Brother anymore right now.
Rick, I've told Joel that you and Dave have just been busy, so when you get the chance please drop our Little Brother a message?
