I don't know if it is so much that I "blame myself", Sean, but as I look at the "game films" I can't help but think that there was something that I left out. Clearly something had to be done about Kyle and his dad about the comments and the dirty looks being directed at Joel. And Steve, I welcome your input whenever you believe I need to be set straight. I know you are busy with work, a wife, and five kids to take care of. That certainly doesn't leave you with a lot of extra time.

I think Joel is already on his way back. You guys won your game on Saturday with Joel hitting that homer and winning that bet with Kyle. Joel did tell me that he laid that swat on Kyle extra hard and I say good for Joel.

One more thing, Sean. You, along with Joel, Luke, Cody, and Evan need to all get together and tell Joel's dad what happened last Thursday night at Kyle's house about Kyle's dad's paddling of Joel and the comments that Kyle and his dad made to Joel as he left their house and the way Kyle was big talking at baseball practice and the game last Saturday. This includes the way Kyle was spinning the story and twisting it and leaving out pertinent facts on the whole broken window fiasco. It would be far better for Joel's dad to hear it from you guys than if he heard it in a roundabout way. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea if you guys took Kyle along when you have this talk with Joel's dad. That way, Kyle would be right there if Joel's dad had any questions for him. Kyle would also be right there in the event Joel's dad wanted to "return the favor" and give it to Kyle. (If Joel's dad decides to return the favor, I propose he use his father's razor strop to tan Kyle's butt; which I understand Joel has in his posession. If Kyle gives Joel's dad any guff about that being "unfair", all Joel's dad needs to say is, "Life is unfair.")
