Thank you for congratulating me and the rest of the guys on our baseball team for the recent wins. We've added a few more wins and losses to win/lose column.

So you think I'm good enough to play baseball and watch me on TV?

Thank you for the compliment. I would like to do that more then anything, ever since I was a little kid and could hold a plastic bat in my hand. I'm going to play college baseball, and I have no idea what the coming scout is going to say or even if he's going to offer anyone anything.

Our coach was just contacted and nobody said any certain person was going to just be looked at, as I believe they are coming to look at the entire team and any of the other teams in the tournament.

I've dreamed of being a major league baseball player since I was a little kid and was told by alot of people they thought I showed talent for baseball and might be a major league slugger someday.

So we'll see if any of us high school varsity baseball players might have talent to satisfy the major league baseball world!

As for being on TV, I guess that comes with the job of baseball. When I've played on some winning teams I've been asked to answer media questions and deal with the press and do pretty good and handle myself okay. I'd like to give it a shot, if even the chance and I'm good enough to. Only God knows that answer!

So you think I bamboozled my dad to paddle me back in Dec. 2009 and I think I'm a role model? I don't know about that. I guess I didn't leave my dad too much choice. I finally got courage/nerve, etc. up and was not taking NO for an answer...so he had no choice as I was not going to let him leave the room without giving me a good bare butt paddling.

He DID NOT disappoint me, I'll tell you that! He made my butt red and sore as anyone else's butt who ever got paddled by a dad! I sure did the "dance" and the "rubbing" afterwards like everyone else talks about.

When your Mom spanked you with you the fly swatter handle,I'm sure afterwards you did both? I wished your dad would have come around and at least paddled you one time! Don't ever hold that against him, he had a reason, and I don't believe he was afraid to but, he thought other punishments would work better on you, and I'm sure they did or you would have really criticized your dad BIGTIME.

I've had my share of getting yelled at by my dad and mom, since I was a little kid, and that sure scared me and taught me to be good, but as I got older I questioned myself and like every teen questioned if my parents were fair to me. I hate getting yelled at, and it's been a ffew years since my ears heard a good yelling from my dad, who doesn't do that often, but I know its part of being a parent and kids hate to admit (I know I have sometimes thinking I didn't deseerve it and then later realized I did), but there's love in it and I hope someday I can become as good a parent to a son or daughter, if I'm blessed!

And I'm not ruling out that I won't give a good spanking when it is deserved either, with love!

Don't feel you need to apologize to me Bill, for being a responsible adult if I need to hear something from you and I will admit that I'm not the greatest speller, etc., but get by with good enough grades, etc. I welcome you imput! That's what this forum or all about, and glad you joined up!

You are correct, some of my buddies parents criticized why my little butt didn't get spanked or right along with their kids when I deserved it and my parents took criticizing for it. It was there doing, not mine, to not want to blister my little bare butt when it deserved to be.

And you are right, my dad I feel had been "looking for an excuse to spank me earlier then when he finally did", but it was not because he was afraid to, it was because my mom and him had promised each other to raise a child like Dr. Spock suggested.

I wonder if that dude got alot, alot of spankings as a kid and wanted to just make sure other kids didn't so he suggested parents not spank their kids in fear of harming them. The fear that was needed is for kids to realize they can't get away with everything with their parents if they do wrong and have to own up to their wrongs and sometimes get their butt spanked/paddled!

As for if my dad would have caved in, if he found cigarettes if I was in the second grade? I would like to think that he would to a little second grade butt, that he would have tanned it really good for the first time and I could expect that type of punishment from then on. If he had, what do yo uthink he would have or should have spanked me with?

Speaking of that, what are your thoughts why your dad or your mom didn't spanking you in the second grade, finding you with cigarettes, etc.? Why do you think they let you off easy, think they thought yelling was good enough and would work to teach you not to do it again?

I know of a kid in school, about late grade school or early Middle School. He got caught with a cigarette and taken to the principal office. He was given a choice, eat the cigarette or get a paddling? I guess he got scared, thinking he would get really sick so, he elected to take the paddling. He didn't sitdown for awhile.

So your a Cardinal fan? What made you become one? I should root for a team, but never got around to picking one. I did get into collecting baseball cards, and my dad one me some cards that have been put up if they really become valuable. Got a few Mark M. cards. With him admitting wrong of using steriods, has his cards gone down in value? What are some worth? Do you collect baseball cards? Got any worth quite a bit?

That is COOL your a Civil War buff? Me,too! I've been told I had two relatives serve in the Civil War. I kinda like the Revolutionary War era too, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, etc.,and what helps me liking the Civil War too, is I was born on Feb. 19.

When is your birthday, Bill?

Did you and your brother, sister go into this birthday spanking tradition I and my buddies found out this past year?
