Tori turned as he lead, allowing him to take control of their path. She knew he would need that seemingly small thing, control was something you couldn't appreciate till it had been taken away. She tucked her free hand into the crook of his arm as well, smirking at his words. She lightly patted his arm, turning her gaze up to meet his, nodding slightly before looking ahead again.
"I know..." She said, her mind sliding back to darker days, days she wished had never been "I remember..." She almost whispered the last, not really wanting to remember all those years, those decades, she'd spent in captivity. His question gave her the perfect distraction from her memories, letting her turn her minds eyes to more recent actions "They've been good the last few years... " Where to start? Might as well start at the top of the food chain and work your way down...
"Nancy's a collage professor, teaches criminology in Boston... Sasha's a homicide detective in Denver. She's got a knack for closing the 'weird ones'... Her boy, Elden, he's been over in Iraq, or some god forsaken country like that, for almost four years. Almost got himself killed a few times.... Amir went back to being a DJ, he's touring Europe right now I think... Angelina's had a few guys in her life, only one that she'd call a partner though... Seems that woman attracts men like she attracts trouble... Desiree's been at boarding school, keeping mostly out of trouble while still walking the line..."
She bit her lower lip, running through the people she'd kept tabs on, some just hadn't needed her watching over them. "I know Shania went back on tour, but I never was real close with her, so I kept at a distance... Laurie Ann's an art teacher in New Mexico, she's quite talented too" She shrugged her shoulders slightly "They guys, I assume you know about... "
