[[felt that a layout with her usual tiny font would be rather cruel]]

Tarot pressed her palm to the worn brick of the building, her emerald eyes drifting half-closed. This was a place that had known many things. Memories of good times, bad times and wild nights out. Mistakes made, hearts broken. But that's not what she wanted. With her free hand, Tarot batted away the useless things. At her side, Beltane, her hound, let out a quiet bark. She filtered trough the barrage of recollections before locating what she wanted. Silly Lucy. Wards inside the building were all well and good until you forgot the exterior. Tarot glanced down at her feet. Lovely.

There was no way in hell she was going down there if the thing in her pocket was still there. Nooooo waayyyy. She'd be traumatized. Badly. Tarot sighed, heavily. She owed him a favor and that was that. Damned conscience. From inside the pocked of her jeans she produced a long, slim piece of white chalk.

Time for you to earn your dinner, Belly. She pointed the hound to the wall. Find the creepy man, please. Beltane wagged his tail and rose to his hind legs, inching along the wall. At the corner of the building he finally dropped down and began to tap the stone with his paws. He inched away, allowing his mistress to get at the wall.

With a practiced, steady hand she covered the brick in a line of symbols, as tall and wide as she was. Once finished she bit into her thumb, drawing an outline of blood all around the perimeter. The space began to tremble. She slid into it, Beltane following on her heels. They emerged in the shadows of the building, at Lucian's side. It would be no surprise to him, knowing his enormous ability. But running from her would divulge his hiding place. And he probably had no want for that.

Pretty stupid, aren't they? She rested her elbows on his shoulders, scanning the darkened space. The smells were almost overwhelming- if she hadn't been so on edge she would have sneezed. Mmhmmm. Nice dog. Pedigree? I know he's a hero at heart, considering that you had him save my life.

Beltane snorted, appearing to double in size. He wanted to be a hero, too. Love me best. Tarot patted his head. I do, buddy. Don't worry. Be right back, Mister Zeth's Kid.

She slunk towards the two women, eyebrows raised. Before they had a chance to react, she smacked them both on the sides of their heads, baring her teeth. You're idiots. I-di-ots. You think he'll just let you waltz in? Do you know anything? She pointed to the corner, where Lucian still lurked. HE LIVES HERE! LIVES HERE!

Ohmygodddd. Shoot me now.
