“Epp!” Lyla’s attention had turned to the door in time to see the newest arrival out of the sheets of rain. Her vocal of surprised was soft and Lyla immediately turned her attention back to Addy. Lyla retreated back to the fashionista’s booth and shoved her way in again. She bumped elbow and knee with Addy but said nothing and kept her eyes down. She should have just bolted when she had the chance. Now she was going to get stuck in the middle of a fight she was ill equipped to handle. Lyla played with a discarded straw wrapper and listened silently. She was balling up her quivering energy in case she needed to shift. It was a pretty great thing that the bar was practically empty. How hard would it be to explain to a bunch of humans how a pack of wild animals suddenly got into a bar?!
