I don't have a ruck issue. If I was an AFL Club, I'd be fine. Witts first ruck, Stanley my fifth best ranking player this year is a GREAT back up. I am not in control of an ACL and a Geelong Coach that has lost the plot.

So as an AFL side, these things happen. Lets say Stanley injured as well. No problem if I am an AFL coach. This side would not be even talked about as a real danger in the Ruck because I am sure Roughead played ruck in 2016 the Bulldogs best year and Premiers of that year. Balta, if the Tigers are using Balta as a ruck, they might just see him being someone who takes over if there happened to be a surprise inclusion to their backline that smashed it.

Weideman, even have Sam Reid injured at the moment, then a young Cat named Shannon Neale. NO ONE in their right mind would be suggesting a drafting of MORE ruck capable players than I already have, but here WE are.

The Haves and Have nots comment suggests to that every other competition like ours has a salary cap. Why, because we all haven't got hours of time to put into the drafting of players than each other. Salary cap stops to bottom side gaining distance from the top. That has been scoffed at in this league.

I painstakingly done the whole league with ever player playing Salary for each side, and done the ground work. Again mods and fat cat coaches that are successful so why change scoffed.

So keep going, keep these coaches going back to the draft, trying to bring new blood in to make a difference in the future, and it failing, because new players as much as they look awesome in the under age leagues, do not convert into top AFL players.

So after two if we are lucky three rebuilds, these coaches, some of whom didn't even select their original squads, will be dropping out, and we are back to unstable league where we have been before, because no one wants to take over a weak side with no chance of competing in the short term, or even possibly the long term.

Salary cap helps the weak sides, because the strong sides who are almost posting 2000+ games not be so strong. Salary cap makes teams not keep strong ruckman and key position players scoring between 65 and 75 playing in their twos every week if there was a twos in Superleague.

If not, the least we could do, is make a rule that no more than one ruckman can be selected in a side. It would disadvantage me, because when Witts and Stanley are back, I would often play them in the same 22, but this is not about me. I feel for the less fortunate, the ones that are posting 1200's and getting flogged every week. THEY are the ones we need to look after, and what is strong side coaches saying, "Bad luck, they had their chance", similarly to what you have done here, but with poor player in selection to good player. But, once again just to be clear; I DON'T NEED ANOTHER RUCK. You guys need a dose of REALITY.
