No, day 1461 is 1461 days ago. The numbering scheme we're using is to count backwards. Day 365 is 365 days ago, year 1 is 1 year ago etc. Thus day 1461 is 4 years ago. So if last year (year 1) he wrote about day 1458, then 4 years ago (year 4) he was writing about day 1461 (remember, he writes about one day after the next, and each year he writes about a day). But that day was in year 4, he is at a point where he writes all the days of his past life. He thus finishes his autobiography, which is absurd.
