In reply to: Damoclese 's message, "I never loose grip of my sword." on 02/27/02 4:56pm

from Damoclese: It seems to me that you apply some notion that the sanctity of human life should be held in high regard.

>>> who's a smart cookie then!

from oz: because people don't die un-necessarily.

from Damoclese: and why is that necessarily a good thing?

>>> WTF!?!

from Damoclese: I'm not at all convinced that human life should be held in any higher regard than say, the life of an animal.

>>> I'll let your therapist deal with that one.

from Damoclese: Should I be so fond of human life over animal life for any reason you can think of?

>>> remind me never to kick your cat!

from Damoclese: Oh yeah? What if that human being is killing other human beings? Should we let him continue on his rampage until few human beings are left?

>>> Why is it that someone who doesn't support the death penalty is automatically accused of wanting the murderers to go free?

Understand this ... a person who takes the life of another in a premeditated fashion should die in gaol of natural causes .... and they don't do they Damoclese!?!

.... and why don't they? ... because it's cheaper to kill ...and of course it takes up less space and you don't have to guard a dead person! ... life is cheap and the bible only helps a killers cause!

Another reason is truth in sentencing.... if you get life, you get life ... without any chance of parole! Society can easily afford the cost.

Lack of freedom is the greatest punishment! ... let them have the unavoidable feelings of being human and not be able to satisfy them.

Let evolution do the killing.
