The recruting seems poor this year. A lot of repeats, not many new girls at all. (NT)No name14:03:25 08/17/12 Fri
It's time for local directors to get more active in recruiting contestants. (NT)No name20:25:18 08/18/12 Sat
The reason where there are not new contestants and that there's a loss of some of the older ones is the demanding schedule. This keeps getting worse. Obviously we want our girls to thank and attend events with our sponsors but this is a SCHOLARSHIP program. They need to focus on school first and foremost and their internships. Most have jobs and plus they are supposed to be working closely with their platform and have duties with their local chapters. It's a very demanding schedule and I know for a fact it scares a lot of people off. It stinks (NT)I know12:49:40 08/20/12 Mon
Nice excuse. How come the women before this could do it? The schedule is no more demanding now than it was before. (NT)No name14:13:10 08/22/12 Wed
You're not getting fresh faces because MAO comes off looking like elite pretties looking for trophy crowns! Make your program look relevant! (NT)No name08:45:59 08/25/12 Sat
cont. There's a definite lack of publicity/statewide media showing the good works and effort put forth by all the program’s participants. Appoint a point-person/publicity to actively solicit exposure and write/post/tweet news & photos detailing activities of ALL the title holders/competitions/events, NOT JUST MISS NH, happening throughout the state. You have 15-20 ambassadors for the program! Talk up all the good works: public service efforts/charities that benefitted/money raised and the rewards: scholarship opportunities/character building/experience gained thru the Miss New Hampshire program. Starting with the younger girls, participation should be encouraged, development help should be provided, and costs kept minimal. (NT)No name08:47:22 08/25/12 Sat
cont. With no offense to the wonderful State Director and staff, the Miss NH Program seems like a one-time deal- the Miss NH Pageant- where local winners have no relation to or interaction with the community they’re representing, hence, no local support. The first and last time area residents see the local winner is in the news picture getting crowned, until they're back looking for $ support for the program book. ALL winners should be out there in the community actively & publicly promoting the Miss New Hampshire program through their platforms. Not happening enough. (NT)No name08:48:07 08/25/12 Sat
cont. Every local winner has a responsibility to do so. Every entrant has a responsibility to do so. (NT)No name08:51:09 08/25/12 Sat
