Subject: Most of the girls listed above had "it." But so didn't 50 other states and a few territories! Just because a girl hasn't placed at Miss America since Candace, doesn't mean they were not wonderful and competitive contestants! New recruits are a must to keep it as competitive as it has been over the last several years. I know, I know, this is a so-called rebuilding year. Maybe true. But you can't have such stellar years as the last four every year! Regan's year was amazing, and alhtough a surprise when Krystal won, that year was probably one of the most competitive ever. It is not like the old days when anyone could place in the top five. Since Lindsey's year on (and maybe since Rachel's. girls who had placed before well some didn't even make it back to states or not back into top 10. So the more the better as I see it.

In reply to: 's message, "Of those girls, only Candice placed. The fact remains that NH hasn't found an "it girl" in years and years. Every local opens the state competition up to new girls. Those of you opposing this are being extremely selfish and frankly, I think some of you are just worried about competition at state" on 19:13:15 04/13/13 Sat
