We were delivering 2 old fire engines to Los Angeles yesterday and we saw a yard with about 10 wrecked LAPD cars in public view. This is at a major intersection and not a private yard. Our fire dept hides wrecks as fast as they can. I have seen them tarp over a wreck on the tow truck. What does everybody else think about this practice? What does your dept do? It bothered me to see them in public view and I do not why.

What is there to hide? Besides, isn't it possible that those cars were sold at auction and the new owner has them sitting in public? (NT)Norm's Wrecker21:05:29 12/15/02 Sun
