Subject: As I mentioned to my friends as we were watching the show, the long intros of the judges were “fillers” in place of entertainment/ production number.

The judges looked so uncomfortable with the camera staring them down for so long. No one should be in a tight closeup like that for more than 5-10 seconds. If you maintain a frozen smile, you start to look a little zoned out. If you start trying to change expressions, you come across as a little maniacal. If they were going to do a history book on each judge, they should have left the camera on the emcee until near the end of the introduction. At least he's reading and actively doing something.
