Subject: There is barely going to be seven weeks between this group taking over and actually conducting a national pageant. They inherited nothing, I mean nothing from the former leadership. Networks won’t touch this competition because of the bad press the past two directors have generated. It is completely unrealistic to expect that this group would have any kind of large budget to work with. And there’s no level at which Miss USA is any kind of freebie for contestants. Subject Author Date Both pageants were on the CW network and before that streamed for free under the previous national director so not sure about the new leadership team with no budget. If you claim to have $$$ to buy the franchise then you should have the money to put on a national pageant. Instead, the reps will be paying close to 5k when all is said and done and that does not include their gown or coaches leading up to the pageant.
