Subject: Need electrical t-shooting help (blower/air cond)

car: 84 318i
problem: 30amp fuse for blower motor & A/C blowing. W/ignition in "on" position, fan operates properly (flows air on all 3 speeds) and fuse holds; when A/C switch is engaged fuse immediately blows. (car not running, A/C compressor therefore not running). Need help on this one / TIA / Bill in SF
