| [> [> Subject: I’ve been at all preliminaries and don’t have a girl in this pageant but SC is absolutely the best of the best. Her talent was entertaining, great costume, great stage presence! Her swimsuit was WOW! Healthy, beautiful body. And her walk is untouchable. There are beautiful girls competing. So exciting! | |

| [> [> [> Subject: As a retired pageant coach who led two girls to win Miss America and one to win Miss USA, I strongly disagree. I’m not entirely sure how exactly the scoring works to determine the winners, but the outcomes of this pageant is showing the organization’s amateurism pretty bad. Also the judging committee could be more diverse in some ways. | |

| [> Subject: First thoughts, the life style and fitness music for the girls was just bad, give them some better music to model to, it was elevator music. I was surprised with the life style and fitness winner also. The 3 girls from the night before looked very healthy and fit. SC was a little too thin for me and sucked in a little to hard when she poised in front of judges. MS or NC both looked amazing. Loved NC’s swim, it looked velvet, I’m sure it was Pixton or Shaw. Talent winner was one of my top picks she was technically good but I thought the violin wound have won. | |

| [> Subject: Volunteer is like a county fair pageant. The talent scoring is an insult to women who really have talent. While MAO is out promoting winners who are doctors, Nuclear Engineers, and USAF pilots, volunteer is promoting the girl who looks hottest at the local amusement park. | |

| [> [> Subject: Volunteer is a beauty pageant. Thank God! MAO certainly isn’t a beauty pageant but rather a contest of who can raise the most money and pad state directors pockets. MAO is outdated and so irrelevant. Remember, it’s called a beauty pageant. | |

| [> [> [> [> Subject: But who cares if contestants are doctors, lawyers, pilots etc. Let’s be truthful contestants spend way more to compete than awarded in scholarships. It’s like an Olympic sport, you spend tons of money on training and equipment but only get endorsed if you win the gold. With that being said, I can assure you a beautiful girl will get endorsements way quicker and easier than someone who is just accomplished professionally. Once again, it’s a Beauty Pageant. | |

| [> [> Subject: I suppose you could say a "county fair pageant" at a national level. I think 25% for talent is perfectly fine, if you want your system to emphasize beauty over talent overall. There's nothing wrong with that. Miss America still exists if you want talent and interview to be your emphasis. | |
