That could be easy choice, Hannah Menzner (inaugural Miss RI Volunteer) went on to win Miss Idaho USA, Amelia Collins (inaugural Miss TN Volunteer) also went on to win Miss New York. As long as they compete at nationals and fulfill any other state duties that THEIR STATE requires, I think state titleholders are given freedom after nationals. Miss Washington Volunteer got married last year after nationals but before she gave away her title, and it was all approved because nobody cared and it was after nationals. I had MS in my top 16 but thought her gown was just ok. Both of these and some others mentioned about I think are the classic case of "different night/different judges/different outcome." There was a lot of good competition at this pageant and there were a lot of winners up there. I really do wonder how many stateholders as Miss' there were -- even future national titleholders!
