Subject: Citizens petition gone crazy

The article "Citizen petitions face scrutiny", May 18, 2013 PP A-7 Metrowest Daily News, was interesting but should have gone a bit further.

What Herb Chasan did, and if he did it in a court of Law, he would have been charged with perjury.

His actions although commendable to show he cares about people, showed a total lack of how the town meeting is supposed to work. HE makes it sound like OTHERS brought these petitions but I don't believe it. These petitions were HIS idea and his alone. He got others to go along with HIS agenda. This is NOT how petitions are supposed to work.

Mr Chasan has his OWN agenda and he gets others to go along with him to the point of where he embarrassingly comes before town meeting and basically comes as close to a lie that one could get. When asked WHO was sponsoring these petitions he did not give an honest answer.

The "scrutiny" you mentioned obviously was brought upon him by others who felt the same way. Of course they don't have the fortitude to call him a liar, I will lets say call him close to it.

The Town Meeting isn't a 5013C. It needs to learn that and Mr Chasan is pushing all of us to finally speak against his altruistic lunacy. I was totally aghast watching this event of cable TV.

Mr Chasan has done this on other articles he has backed. He does NOT give good answers to the totality of how "his" pet projects are to be funded or run.

If he really felt so strong about helping out these pet projects of his then he should join a non profit organization of give his money as starter funds to start these pet projects.

Mr Chasan is also a big backer of the Adult ESL Plus program which is basically organized crime protected by Americans who have lost their way as to Rule of Law, but that is another topic.
