Trag looks with alarm behind him, thinking his foster-father had perhaps found him doing something other than what he'd said he would do, and was ready to be rebuked when he saw that it was another boy, not much older than himself. And he seemed to be hurt! Trag, the constantly concerned type, frowned worriedly as the boy lowered himself to the ground beside Trag. He left the wherry he'd been holding out to the flit on the ground and turned to talk to the boy.

"Are you okay? That looks like it hurts."

That, of course, was obvious. But Trag really didn't know what else to say; after all, he was only nine! Forgetting his real reason for coming to the beach, he plops himself down in the sand and looks at the other boy curiously.

"You need some help?"
