In reply to: Caen and Maisath 's message, "**She walks up to the small group, grinning as her green follows**" on 14:06:05 12/22/01 Sat

He smiles at Caen and then at the two newly hatched flits. "I'm sorry I didn't get you an egg, I had a time getting these off the sands. There are still some more on the beaches, I know." Looking at his own egg, a frown line creases his face. "It isn't moving, and it is rather small. I hope.."

They know when to hatch, don't worry. Greetings Layath, Shrineth, Maisath. Kadoth winks at each of the young females, flexing his neck and showing off onviously. Snorting to control his laughter, A'rak looks up to welcome the sun, shutting his eyes and allowing it to wash across his face. Sunning yourself, now?

"Trying to get a tan, more like. I never could." Suddenly, the egg beneath Kadoth's talons swings wildly, tumbling end over end with a series of thrumming noises. Leaping up excitedly, the bronze hums encouragingly and A'rak leans forward. Suddenly a small indent bursts through, the shell splintering helplessly against the youngster's efforts. A muzzle pokes out, emitting a helpless creel. Tenderly, the boy peels away the mottled shell to reveal his little flit, palm sized and anxious for food. The youngster glows a bright blue, and though exceptionally tiny, he emits a dragon sized bugle for food.

He's very insistent, isn't he? Kadoth, momentarily surprised by the hatching of the 'lizard, inquires as he settles on the sands again. Eagerly, the boy begins to slip meatrolls and fishrolls to the voracious and tiny blue. Creeling in satisfaction, the infant hops onto A'rak's wrist and marches ticklishly to nestle at his neck.

"He feels like velvet, I think that'll be his name." Cooing agreeably, the 'lizard dozes on the boy's neck. "I'm glad you two like yours, this one's quite a sweetling. He eats like Kadoth, only neater." The dragon grunts and swishes his tail playfully against his rider. "Hatchings of any kind are quite exciting. I hope those last eggs decide to show up soon."
