Now dressed in a relatively suitable pale-yellow dress, Nerilki arrives at the Lower Caverns after all the Speeches.
What did I miss?
Not much. Go eat, you're about to fall over.
It was true that Nerilki was feeling a bit faint, having skipped breakfast and lunch to do other things, but having Avianyth point it out brought a flush to her cheeks.
Don't do that! It's embarrassing, voman.
Nerilki served herself a bowl of stew, and took a slice of bread- slightly stale, as if it had been out for a while. A mug of klah was delivered to her hands by a solicitous drudge. Nerilki scanned the crowd, looking for a seat slightly isolated- and saw what was probably the only seat in the entire Caverns that had several empty chairs on either side of it. The people occupying the other seats were deep into either their wine or conversation.She took a seat, head bent dutifully to devour her food.
