Hard to believe that CHP didn't give her a ticket for doing 95!

I was surprised as well given the speed. CHP's policy is "officer discretion" for many speeding violations, so it all depends on the officer, male in this case, who was "cute" according to her.

In Texas the highway patrol would have giving a ticket for going 95 in a school zone and a reckless driving and could have arrested her at the scene officer discretion on the arrest only as a high school senior I leave school obeying the school zone rules I see grown ups speeding waiting to turn out of the parking lot she could have caused a wreck or killed somebody

Don't mess with Texas lol. Agreed, Jennifer... 95 in a school zone should rightfully command an arrest for reckless driving. In her situation it was at night and there was little traffic. Personally, I've driven 100+ on the German Autobahn and also drove an emergency vehicle for 12 years. But I am an experienced driver. She had not been driving that long, so I felt compelled to send a strong message. Not sure if it was overkill and perhaps some would have handled it differently. But I do know she got the message.

Some rural Texas have a 70 mile speed limit and I go the speed limit interstates vary from 75 to 85 most of the 80 plus limits are in deserts areas pre 1972 Texas was a reasonable and proper state in rural areas I am a safe driver people who tail ride and turn from the wrong lane are just as dangerous rules apply to everyone for a reason
