Spanking of teenagers (13-17) is uncommon in the United States -- but more common than those of us who grew up in certain areas or under certain circumstances would believe.
The best information I have seen is that +/- 15% of teenagers are subject to parental spankings in the U.S.. This information, however, did not distinguish between 13 year olds and 17 year olds. And it also did not distinguish between levels of dress or undress.
My strong suspicion, based upon the information I've seen, anecdotal evidence, and my math skills, is that a bit more than 20% of 13 year olds are still subject to parental spankings in the U.S. (including fully clothed). Whereas very few 17 year olds are subject to "bare bottom" spankings.
These numbers, however, are U.S. wide. They don't account for regional, political, socio-economic, ethnic, educational, nor religious differences. For example, just the idea that a Jewish, Hindu, or East Asian family with parents who are doctors or lawyers living in eg. Montgomery County, Maryland spank their 16 or 17 year old children bare is absolutely preposterous. Whereas the chances of a blue-collar white, black, or Hispanic family living in semi-rural Texas spanking their 13 year old at least clothed is actually pretty high -- maybe even approaching 50%. (And that number probably increases further if the family is religious Evangelical Christian.)
The vast majority of people on voy spanking forums claiming to be teenagers or parents of teenagers who are spanked bare are certainly cosplayers. But it definitely is not everybody.
