Mom always spanked us over her lap where she could keep control. I hear about boys/girls who have to bend over and stay in position for spankings, but mom spanked HARD and I always kicked and wiggled desperately. If I was just bending over there's no way I could have stopped myself from jumping up, rubbing etc. Even those who get spanked on the bed I don't see how they keep from rolling over trying to get up etc. I sure would!
