It was still relatively early in the evening.

I had a little time to myself.

I still had the Nurse Regina folder on my desktop.

I thought briefly of the iRiver.

'Imma make an ePub!' thinks I.

One of the worst ideas I've ever had.

Back when I was researching the file format, I knew how to put one together in Pages, and I knew it could export it.

OMFG it was tedious. Took me the best part of an hour. Pages would not behave.

I figured I'd use the original A5 files as a template, it's probably the most readable on large or small screens.

What could go wrong, right?

I won't bore anyone with details of the tedium, but suffice to say, I got it together, and exported the result.

Yay! Almost there!

Only to find my USB Micro SD card reader had gone AWOL.

After about 15 minutes of searching, I gave up and sneakerneted the file to another machine.

Copied the file to the iRiver's SD card, popped it in.

It worked. And it didn't.

The Front page was perfect.

The rest of it was a disaster. Things weren't where they were supposed to be, the formatting was out of whack. It was awful.

I'm never doing it again.

PDF FTW!

Nick
