Subject: What should I feel?

I've been trying to play NG for two full seasons without much success. I took up NG because of sporadic back problems, plus I wanted more distance. I must say I do hit the ball farther, but with much less consistency than when I played CG. I'm either dead center in the fairway, or in one of the adjacent ones. There's no in between -- I either hit the ball great or not at all. My handicap has gone up more than two strokes over the last two years. I finished this posting season with an ALL TIME HIGH handicap of 14.4 and shot two rounds of 97 during our club championship (embarrasing)! When I played CG I was a "feel" player. I was taught to feel the weight and centrifugal force of the clubhead during the swing. I can't seem do that with NG because of the baseball grip. My question to you successsful NGers out there is "What to you feel during your swing?" Do you strive for a feel of body position, stability of hips and legs. WHAT IS IT? I need some help. I need something to work on this winter. I'm almost ready to give up golf all together!
