Here is why I think people hit them off to the right with NG. If you stand up and put your hand on your hips, and take a wide stance, you will notice that when you turn to the right with a Moe swing you turn into a stumped right leg. So do that. Remember to keep the stance wide.

Now, go the other way. Just rotate your hips the other way onto a bent left leg...just like NG teaches. Notice that you do rotate into the left hip but the left leg DOES HAVE TO BE BENT.

HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART: The leading edge of the leading hip is the pivotal point of the rotation. This will help you immensely with the driver.

What you are doing is sliding forward with your driver trying to hit that ball in the forward position. It's not much of a rotation, but the hip does turn into the stumped leg to the rear, and it rotates back into the left hip LEFT LEG MUST BE BENT. Remember that the leading edge of the left hip (R handed golfer) is the pivot point.

Hope this helps you.
