Because if you are gripping it like they show in the LTOBG book instructs, strong grip with palms facing each other, this eliminates the forearm rotation and the club can be swung back with the face perfectly square to the swing path throughout the swing.

When you do this the clubface will appear closed at the top, but that is ONLY closed if you take in the context of using a conventional swing!

The instruction for the Heard Super Swing clearly show this to be a fact, using as an analogy the club face being the same as the seat on a ferris wheel, if the ferris wheel was tilted on it's axis to the same angle as a golf swing!

As for the left arm collapsing being a criteria for a release, well I guess Arnld Palmer must have blocked his way through all those major victories then, didn't he?

If that's the case, I guess I'll take blocking every day of the week over trying to do some mumbo jumbo of doing concious hand movements to drill a release, and then later say that this should happen naturally with no forced movement of the hands at all???
