mechanical aspect, closed is closed. The Heard swing teaches a left hand grip that is 90 degrees more rotated to the right then NG currently teaches. You think that may make a difference?

While the LOBG is the starting place for learning NG, if you wish to advance with the swing towards Moeness, you will be taught a neutral left hand grip. I know you had lessons a couple of year ago, but NG has more clearly defined the NG swing so that if someone wishes to advance beyond LOBG they can. I see nothing wrong with that.

Who said anything about conscious movements when playing? Of course in a drill you must think, so that when you play you don't have to think.

If you want to block, then block away. More power to you. Was Arnold Palmer known as the world's greatest ballstriker? He was a great player, nobody would dispute that, but as a ballstriker he was inconsistant. When he was on, he was great. When he was off, he was way off. Moe's swing worked 365 days a year. That is what I seek. Have a great day!
