If a magazine measures a club that wasn't custom fit to an individual, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that it will probably be a standard club. Of course if you take into account the length the measured club as well, then it is three degrees upright. Extra length makes the club play more upright.

NG irons are custom fit to the individual. Some people need clubs that are flatter and some need clubs more upright. With NG clubs this is no problem. Just get properly fitted by a NGCI, and you will be guaranteed to recieve the proper lie angle.
