I have no idea how Craig plays but we all may see this in a different light. I know a fellow here that has played golf ala Moe since 1992 - long before NG came to be. He had seen Moe play in tournaments on 3 occasions prior to 1992 and has since enjoyed the support of NG tapes and books.

His learning experience left him with terrible shots when he attempted to hold his hands high. He sets up hands low as in CG and now makes a very nice cut at the ball with a 10 finger grip and a finish that shakes hands with the target. He feels his shots with the shorter backswing and 10 finger grip give him an SA swing that is much more accurate than his old CG swing.

When you look down the target line from directly behind the golfer and his trail arm is lower than his lead arm he is swinging SA. Just the opposite of the traditional Vardon grip. I will trade him my SA swing for his, in a flash. His game has slipped a little but he still plays between 74-78 consistantly....trencher
