If you read Tony's first explainations when this issue first arose in early 1998

Tony said that KSI was not constituted. It had no members. Tony raised the funds not for the KSI itself, but for the event wich was the KSI Convention. So Tony only had to satisfy the sponsors that the funds were used for those purposes. He did not provide a report to members because KSI had no members.

As for Tony, the guy is clean and honest. If you are straight with him he will be straight with you. and he does not sufferr fools gladly He explained exactly why he did not feel he had a duty to account to the Wantok Forum or to anonymous people who attacked him on the Wantok Forum. After that he said that he did not want to repeat himself or respond to every message that came out on the WF and if people wanted answers they could go back through the archives. He probably had better things to do.

I think the main problem is that the newsletter was wrongly worded so certain people thought that KSI was an existing organisation with members. It in fact wasn't until it actually was formalised last month.
