Subject: OLD SAYING-demanding vs earning respect
In reply to: 's message, "Women are a part of the equation for good leadership" on 06:01:21 02/09/00 Wed

I would tend to think that women are more content to earn respect while men have a tendency to demand respect.

Demanding respect is nonsustainable, short term, and tends not to give one much of a place in the history books. However, most of our leaders are constantly demanding respect, even at this moment. Look at the newspapers and listen to their occasional moaning that we don't respect them enough but we should.

We should? We shouldn't. I agree let's try some more women for a change. Their challenge is to make a difference in a world where men will change the rules whenever they want, and bully women into following men's rules, not human rules.
