Well, right now I'm using a stock CC LB because I haven't purchased the 6500 one yet (I will very soon). I know that the VGA upgrade doesn't work with the stock MB, but shouldn't the high-res one, which is the one I performed? My gameplan was to perform the upgrade Mr. Neumann described on his site, fix the video up with some hex tools to make it look decent on the monitor, and then go through with the 6500 upgrade. The thing which perplexes me about it is that I get a half-garbled/half-clear startup sound when I turn it on, and then I get a clear one once I reboot via the keyboard (the garbled one comes back if I switch it off and turn it on with the power key). Also, I noticed that there was a black cable coming out of the back of my CC's crt with a peach colored connector that wasn't connecting anywhere. Could any of this be a factor? Thanks! :)
